Twitch's largest political streamer, Asmongold, shovels racist and xenophobic messaging to his audience of 52K+ live viewers

Not only are the countries he is saying have "fine" refugees don't even speak English as an official language, Africa as a continent has the largest amount of countries that speak English:

Most other African countries speak French, Spanish or another European language as an official language. So what is the issue here? Many Africans have immigrated to Western countries and have integrated fine. It's insane that Twitch is allowing this kind of rhetoric to be displayed in full velocity on this platform.

  Eh, I tried to be open-minded. Asmongold was funny and surprisingly articulate back when he just dunked on video game developers, but as time went on and Trump came into office, it really started falling apart. Rogan used to have doctors, scientists and educators on his show, and had enough humility to at least admit he was stupid and respected what they taught him. But just like Asmongold, Trump, money and the pandemic absolutely broke his brain.

I never click on them and I have watch history turned off anyway so I wonder how it's deciding that I should watch these clips. Either way, I find it odd how signal-boosted this clown is.   This guy is a disgusting, bumbling idiot, but he speaks with certainty and condescension. The curious onlooker will see him, get trapped by the mindset you describe ("oh man, this guy's a trainwreck, let's see how much worse off he is than me"), find it funny and continue watching.
  After establishing some sort of "trust" with the audience ("I'm a big dumb idiot who makes you laugh") he pulls out the manipulative speech. "You'd have to be stupid to-"; "this guy's a retard!"; "It doesn't make any sense", etc. Once you get to this part of the steam, you've already established that the dude's an idiot, but you also think he's funny. You're faced with the decision to either laugh along with his "jokes", or "accept" that this buffoon is "more educated" on a topic than you are. The fragile, uninformed audience these people are after are much more likely to go the latter route.

Only heard about him for the first time recently, in the context of the Stop Killing Games initiative. He spoke in support of it (which is a good thing, yay), and is apparently involved in some way in the drama that gave SKG the boost it needed.
