“Grab the TV remote, go to menu, go to controls, vertical controls, look for channel list and delete Fox News.”
I love political statements that are this specifically actionable
I don't have cable. Is this an accurate procedure?
I'll be honest I don't own a television, though maybe someone else knows
Maybe for one specific cable company's box. No idea which it is, but they're all different with different menus.
No idea why anyone would exist labeled as "vertical controls". Wtf
I'll be honest, I had no idea you could delete channels from a cable box.
There's already little devices you can buy that just cycle through every IR code to turn off every TV in range. This should get coupled with a mic listening for Fox News commercial bumps before activating.
Because Fox News is about to remind everyone he was getting his toes sucked by a trafficked girl on an Epstein flight?
Why are you trying to divert attention away from deleting Fox News?
Was he only on one flight or a repeat visitor? One of the tactics Epstein employed was finding co-conspirators by inviting them to plausibly deniable senerios, but when that failed, simply getting blackmail on people who weren't interested. A foot massage from a 16 year old is pretty tame by Epstein standards and sounds more like a trap.
Source?
Well yeah, he's been an anarchist since he was a comic artist
Reminds me of Scoop Chang, Fox Quote Unquote News (Futurama: Decision 3012)
That should have been a message two decades ago. It's too late now. Additionally, there's many more far-right echo chambers at this point. It's not just Fox News anymore.
Um what took you so long?
That with any legacy media. Most of it is bought by oligarchs and is propaganda
Matt is right, but it's awfully convenient to say it now and not when his show was popularising Fox on it's rise to dominance, despite being a fascist shitbag TV network. 30 years too late Matt.
Fox and Fox News are different channels. Also, the former is owned by Disney now.
What you say is both true, and completely irrelevant and misleading. The Simpsons' heydays were during Fox's meteoric rise to pre-eminence and at the time Fox News not only supplied Fox with their newsroom coverage they were owned by the same parent at the time. Being owned by Disney now is immaterial to my previous comment.
From wikipedia
Fox went on to become the most successful attempt at a fourth television network; it was also the highest-rated free-to-air network in the 18–49 demographic from 2004 to 2012 and 2020 to 2021 and was the most-watched American television network in total viewership during the 2007–08 season.[3][4] It is a member of the North American Broadcasters Association and the National Association of Broadcasters. Fox does not have network newscasts of its own due to its lack of a news division, and instead relies on the 24-hour Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network to supply news programming to the network.
And regarding Fox News
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News
The Fox News Channel (FNC), commonly known as Fox News, is an American multinational conservative news and political commentary television channel and website based in New York City, U.S.[3][4] It is owned by Fox News Media, which itself is owned by Fox Corporation.[5] It is the most-watched cable news network in the U.S.,[6][7] and as of 2023 it generates approximately 70% of its parent company's pre-tax profit.
But he created Fox News thanks to the Simpson success
Fox Entertainment is not Fox News. They often play against one another to capture both audiences.
The Simpsons aired in 1989. Fox News was created in 1996.
With money from the Simpson
The cartoonist who coined "eat my shorts" and "don't have a cow" and "doh!" 7 years earlier is supposedly more complicit for the rise of fascist media than the democrat president who just months before the founding of Fox news passed the Telecommunications act of 1996 that made Fox news possible/inevitable.
So his problem with the allegations of pandering to racists wasn't that it was untrue, it was that he felt they'd been paid to not say it?
That is what those words mean in that order, yes.
