Just saw the new Superman yesterday and loved it. And I don’t even care for superhero movies usually lol I only came out because of the good reviews. So I’m sure they gained new fans and interest. And it’s great for people like me who miss having a reason to go to the movies;)
Shouldn't it be something more like "Superman leaps over $300 million"?

  The goal of making an entertainment film is to get a lot of people to see it. They did a really good job of it this time. They did it to such a degree that it was worth noting.
  You're mad that a lot of people saw the new Superman movie. You're mad that there's a way to measure that.

  I’m mad that anyone outside of those directly profiting gives a shit about a movie’s profitability. It’s the least fucking interesting aspect of storytelling.

- Box office is extremely relevant to viewers. A good box office means sequels and imitators, a bad box office means different directors and approaches. Pretending money doesn't affect things wont make capitalism go away.
