LENZ Therapeutics Announces US FDA Approval of VIZZ™ for the Treatment of Presbyopia
It contracts your pupils to help make your vision slightly better at the expense of night vision. The drug lasts 10 hours, so it would probably impact night driving.
Not sure the trade offs are worth it, based on the fact that most people could just wear cheap drug store reading glasses.
I'm extremely skeptical, but I guess I'll wait until I see something that's not just a press release.

I wear contact lenses to correct heavy myopia, but when wearing lenses, my near vision becomes terrible. I'm curious if this could help.
Lots of people do little or no night driving, though. It could be problematic for winter periods when there are fewer than 10 hours of daylight, but summer days can be much longer, and 10 hours could still leave you with nearly 6 hours of daylight after the drops wear off.
I think my main concern would be the people who don't follow the instructions and ditch their glasses for this, no matter what time of day it is.
I know people who use the contact lens cleaning solution as rewetting drops throughout the day, even though it says specifically not to do that.
