Too true. Our ape relatives live lives of simplicity by comparison without the unnecessary systems of oppression and control. They live in the moment and have community. They die and move on with no fanfare. Never once have they heard of wills, taxes, culture war or paid time off.
There are literally chimpanzee wars.
Bonobos on the other hand, they know how to live.
Sadly, they may be more aggressive than we first thought. Probably not as bad as chimps... Or humans.
Sure, but living in nature isn't this happy go lucky life of leisure. You're constantly exposed to the elements, threats from predators/competitors, spend most of your day looking for food. Also apes who live in communities do have social expectations and hierarchies.
The fight and have wars.
❤️ dolphins. I've been lucky enough to swim amongst some. They are definitely more intelligent than every American Republican.
Sadly, some of them are as rapey as republicans, though
At least they bought me a cocktail.
Dolphins rape
And? Nature is brutal and dangerous. As bad as women have it today it is one of the best times in history for them. Imagine living in your village someone comes kills all the men and children the takes and rapes all the women. And this has happened for must of human history. And yes I know some places this still happens.
So do humans. We broke even on that one.
They're looking down their bottle bottlenoses at us...
Should be noted that dolphins are only the second most intelligent species on the planet
Right after mice
