It's frustrating, cuz I get what Arteta is doing, and in theory it should help us win more, but it's not nearly as fun to watch. That Moyes DNA creeping through, which if it wins us titles sure, but if it doesn't... I'd rather be watching last year's Arsenal even if we burned out.
Im on the fence. One part of me wants us to be that attacking team who is out to score 3 or 4 goals a game, but there is that pragmatic side of me that is fine with grinding out results if it keeps us competitive.
If you look at the bigger picture I think this is all part of laying a solid foundation of which to grow off of, and given how competitive the top 4 is, I'll take pragmatic for now.
It's such a sketchy situation long term for him cuz he needs to learn how to do that stuff and the only way to learn risks things like that happening, but if he doesn't learn he can't play to learn
I like this Trossard at CM thing. I feel like Tomi, Rice, Saliba and Gabi can manage on the defensive side of things, and it's not like Martinelli will slack on his defensive duties either.
Hope he gets his goal in the second half. We just need to be sharper and I'm sure Mikel is chewing some hide right at this point.
It's weird how Martinelli isn't quite that good at counters. Especially given his pace and stuff. The Liverpool one last season comes to mind with the overhit pass.
For all the top notch attacking players we have, we really lack attacking threat in some games. We definitely need a striker of some sort, but I'm not sure who.
@Astrealix do you think at such time fancy continental managers such as Thomas Frank regret coming to the Premier League to employ the exciting complex plan of keeping a low block and “avin’ a go on the countah”
