europe is burning hot

europe is burning hot
Guess it’s just gonna become more common to have central air in Europe. Good time to be in that industry if you’re looking for a career.
Yeah, I definitely won't regret buying an AC this year.
When everybody has ac and a nuclear plant needs to be shut down because of jelly fish, it'll be fun!
No problem, we have our trusted coal plants to compensate.
Maybe, dunno, buy solar panels?
I should invest in european air conditioning companies lol
Meanwhile in Denmark it has been 19-25 celsius all summer, with only a handful of warmer days. All these heatwaves have stopped basically at the southern border with Germany.
We had 28 in southern Sweden a couple of weeks ago. Now its barely making 20...
Same here in Lithuania. Might be the last cold summer in a while, so better enjoy it.
Didn't northern Scandinavian countries have some kind of heatwave too (around 30-32°C) ? Is that the handful of warmer days, or is Denmark dodging through heatwave like a ninja ?
Sweden has had a few hot days but not that many. It feels like we're plunging back into winter now, which is pretty much expected. I assume it'll be consistently below 18° by the end of the month.
Thursday it's supposed to be 27, then back to low twenties, high teens.
Yup, same in Schleswig Holstein.
fucking hell.. you know it's bad when they gotta introduce a new colour to the gradient after red to indicate hotter than hot
That’s the color they’ve always used for 44-45. I’m from southern AZ lol.
I spend my summers on the north west part of Spain. Every summer I bring my winter pajama and a jacket because of how cold summers are here, specially mornings and late evening.
This year it's crazy hot in comparison.
Nice. It's good when it hits the global north. Maybe some people wake up that this is an emergency
Oof I thought that the 40s we were getting here in the balkans were bad... I didnt even know temps went that high in france.
I'm happy I escaped to southern Sweden just as the heat spell was starting again.
I love summer
You forgot the /s
For those who do not know, conspiracy theorists/"anti" global warning people says that phrase when it's abnormally hot: "it's summer" like "it's normal that it's hot because it's summer".
Edit warming not warning 😱
"global warning people" 😂
I'm still getting used to Celsius and hadn't come across this temperature range. Had to check. It's 113°F.
I've never been anywhere that warm outside a sauna.
That's fair enough. It was only invented in 1742 so that's barely enough time to start getting used to it.
Moved away from the states about half a decade ago to the UK. Was excited to drop imperial units, but then I found out the English still measure body weight in rocks. That one took a hogshead of wind out of my sails.
I moved to a tourist trap area with lots of lakes around and zero breeze. My car thermometer would regularly hit 110°F all last summer and this. I think that may be it's top out. But with the constant 99% humidity, I got a good thirty seconds of blindness every time I exit my car.
There was a day last year where it got up to like 130°F(54°C) in honk Kong or something like that. It was damn near 120°F(49°C) in the states that day iirc. Also apparently death valley California has the highest temp ever recorded at 134°F(57°C)
Living in Louisiana, these past few years the heat index has gotten around that and it is legitimately miserable to exist in. Considering our humidity, we were pushing wet bulb temperatures some days.
