[Daily thread] How are you doing today? 28-11-2023

Not great. A mix of drama, dating woes and exam stress.

I should be happy because my career path has changed for the better. Within the course of a year I went from working in a crappy high workload purchase ledger job to a decent financial reporting analyst role with an £8k payrise compared to what I was on this time last year. I've also passed three ACCA exams over the course of that year.

But it feels like my career is one of the few things going well right now.

I have been single for the past eighteen months and had my last relationship end in a really toxic manner. Since then, I've realized just how bad online dating apps are. Everyone's a scammer.

As for the drama, it's made me realize that some people in my greater friend group really need to grow up.

Insomnia, but in a positive way.

I lose my phone inside my house all the time, so I created a working prototype of a button connected to the wifi, and upon pressing it, my phone will ring for me to find it.

Woke up thinking how to design a 3d printed case for it so I can use a regular mechanical keyboard switch, and now I am too revved up to sleep. And I can't work on it on the pc, don't want to wake up everyone as it is 4 am here.

My cats are keeping me company :D
