The Trump administration is considering taking stakes in defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT.N), U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Tuesday as he defended President Donald Trump's push for a greater government role in American business.

It comes off as an investment in critical infrastructure but then you have to wonder what an investor with the size and reach of the US gov. Is willing to do to protect it's investment? There are a lot of people that think wedding large companies to the national interest is a good thing. I've always been of the opinion that it'll end up the other way around.
If it's like Intel's 10% purchase, the only downside is an unpredictable board member. I don't think it's that scary to these companies.
