YouTube is pulling a Netflix – here’s how your Premium Family plan could be at risk of suspension
- YouTube has started flagging members of Premium Family plans who aren't living in the same household as the account manager
- A handful of users have reported receiving emails saying that their accounts will be paused, but it's unclear which regions this applies to
- YouTube's account-sharing crackdown joins a long line of streaming services that have carried out similar measures, and subscribers aren't pleased
It's stupid it's location based at all. Especially alienating PAYING customers, you're shooting yourself in the foot. Accept that they're paying and fuck off.

Services will continue to try to squeeze more blood from the stone and then throw up their hands at why they are losing paying subscribers who don’t want to pay exorbitant prices for cheap reality programming or user-created content. 🤷♂️
