I don't know that much about US politics, but I remember the shock, when many people voted for PiS because “at least it's not PO and they surely won't implement all those ridiculous policies” and after being voted in, the politicians actually started implementing those ridiculous policies

We can shit on Prévot all day long but he has been consistent in supporting Palestine since forming a government.
He's a centrist with no teeth who aligned instantly with the Right to access the gov, so it has taken a while to get done, but I can respect he did not let it go when the Right did not want to recognize Palestine at all.-
Keep in mind that they aren't actually going to recognize Palestine; they've deliberately placed conditions on recognition (which is fucked up to start with) that are not going to be fulfilled:

Anything that isn't sanctioning the shit out of Israel won't be effective. If Belgium, Canada, UK, etc. were serious, all trade would be cut to Israel until they stopped the genocide
