I think it's shocking just how obvious the deforestation has been has Sydney has built out west. With all the research about poor vegetation and extreme temperature differences you'd think councils would prioritise planting trees and bushes to reduce water and electricity requirements. You'd think that councils would place minimum tree requirements for new property developments and require a percentage of the property to have tree coverage and grass to help increase trees in suburbs.
It's one of the reasons I live where I do. Council has kept a significant amount of trees on every road which keeps temperatures stable throughout the year.
Interesting situation about rising sea levels and contamination of freshwater supplies. Don't have an easy fix for that.
