Trump adds $100,000 fee for skilled worker visa applicants

Tbh this is probably his only good idea so far.

Especially because it's telling those visa holders that the company was willing to pay 100k just to hire them, so if they're taking $60k as salary they're probably getting fucked.

It also gives the company incentive to treat them with respect. All around I don't think there's any real downside to it, a voluntary tax that encourages actually using H1Bs as they're meant to be used.

Beyond the "states shouldn't exist and borders are made up nationalist bullshit" angle anyways.
