I enjoyed some parts. But overall I was justâŚwhelmed.
That's my review of this review.
28 dicks later.
I thought it was okay, but it felt like 3 different kinds of movies squished together.
My only major complaint is after the very poignant, meditative, emotional peak of the movie, they finish so abruptly with this post-apocalyptic band of Jimmy Saville ninjas that feel like they were ripped out of some weird combo of Max Max and Super Sentai, and just end the movie there.
I'm sure the ending was intended to be jarring, but it just felt like such a misstep to go in that direction after what I thought was a very good spot to end just before.
Bizarre and clear set up for more movies. Dumb.
I was very annoyed that we've been waiting for many years to see what happens after the cliffhanger in Paris at the end of Weeks, and then they nullify that whole scene in a single sentence at the very beginning of Years by saying they just... solved it. đ
Either way, I thought this movie was better than Weeks. It goes Days > Years > Weeks for me. Weeks was just frustrating throughout.
