China tests buoyant turbine to harvest wind energy in sky

We just need to invest more into wind mining. The rich untapped wind reserves of the far north Yukon could be a boon to people the world over.

It is a bit strange that there is a preview picture shown here (in addition to the one I added), which isn't included in the article.

The advantage is mainly the more steady winds at that hight.

But this is clearly meant as a temporary option that can be packaged in a shipping container and deployed after a disaster that took down a lot of infrastructure.
