Lost track of my reddit bans. Really lost track of my subreddit bans. I really stacked them up late 2023.

Subreddit mods cannot ban you from Reddit entirely, just their subreddit

accounts still get banned for (at least for me) supporting Palestine.
my ban was due to a comment in a post about some zio settler going into a Palestinian field to remove a Palestinian flag from Palestinian territory, it was boobie trapped and the video showed him as a red mist.
I wrote a long paragraph about the danger of boobie traps and who they are war crimes. but also that zio has a absolutely no right to complain. Banned for supporting violence.

My bans came from me saying that Israel is committing genocide and that Netenyahu needs to be tried and hanged for his crimes.

You don't even need to say something, just become a "security risk" to them by using uBlock Origin to block their trackers. In other words, how I personally got banned. Anyway, welcome to Lemmy!

Maybe it's just me, but no matter what the ban was for (I'm very aware Reddit is going ban-crazy and has just been shit in general,) I feel it's a bad omen that one community (connected communities, fediverse, what have you) is being largely inhabited by people banned from other communities.

I got perm banned for saying on a post about Nazis in South Dakota gathered on the Capitol steps, I said I was in the mood to punch some Nazis in the face. Reddit can suck it.

I got banned for "threatening violence" for joking that Ryan Routh should get some help aiming for the neck from Tyler James Robinson.

I got a 3-day ban recently for a call to action and plea to arm up and overthrow Trump. (Something along the lines of "We should do as some of our founding fathers intended and arm ourselves to deal with this tyranny")

Tried to get that point across to someone and they thought it was about how guns are used in self defense. How i learned there was a sub dedicated to cheering people shooting others in the name of self defense

My comment was clearly aligned with everyone else on the post, but I still got banned and mods did not respond to my messages about getting unbanned.

The censorship has gone mad on Reddit. I was a user there before the whole Digg migration, and it's been such a wonderful ride. It had to end at some point, though.

I'm just at a point where it's genuinely impossible to have a conversation there without having your comments removed, the thread locked, or downvoted to oblivion for not joining in to whatever the masses are yapping about.

Right-wing views should be made fun of and discredited though, just like Flat Earthers or anti-vaxxers. Right-wing politics isn't simply a "preference," it's support for a brutal system of imperialism and domination of the working class.
