Medics say six people have been hurt, none badly, on the first day of the famous "running of the bulls" in the northern Spanish city. The event is strongly opposed by animal rights activists.
I went to a bullfight in Spain it was absolutely awful to watch. It’s just taunting a wounded bull and then they kill it right there. My wife and I left pretty quickly as we were really turned off by it and were unaware of how barbaric it was before going.
I've done it. It's dangerous, but not overly so if you're somewhat competent and paying attention is not drunk. The people and crowd are a greater risk than the animals.
Saw a couple of people get absolutely destroyed by the bulls though.
