They tried to be all fancy last night and use a crystal ball to map hexes with a little teleportation.

I may have to bring back the shruken gelatinus cube in the soup trick.
So how exactly are they exploring the entire contents of a hex through teleportation? A great tool for scouting, but it seems like they would certainly miss a lot...
3I think that this presents an exciting opportunity for your players to accidentally alert a powerful enemy to your presence by accidentally teleporting their crystal ball directly into its line of sight. Could be a fun hook for the campaign!

I'm curious as to their procedure. Was it:
- Use crystal ball to see a safe location
- Jump to that location
- Rinse and repeat?
2Add in Step 1.5 use detect spells and locate spells - maybe try some esp
