Happy with that. Norris in a well deserved 2nd. And 2 Brits on the podium.
- Well deserved indeed. I'm so happy for him and Piastri right now.
  
  I was skeptical but I'm really glad the hards ended up being the right call for Lando

Max was Max, Norris was brilliant, Hamilton drove well (and got some luck), Piastri was great, Perez again finished behind slower cars, Stroll needs to go.
- Upvoted because Stool needs to go.
- I was looking forward to a shooey on the podium today, but no such luck.

Very happy for Lando! What a drive.
- Really impressive drive from Oscar too. I think he would have gotten 3rd if he pitted under the full safety car instead of the VSC
  
  I think Hamilton might have got him at the restart, he would have been slower in maggots and beckets trailing lando and landos defense was nearly perfect

I just want to say how great the growth of content and conversation has been here in just a few weeks. Let's see what the McCedes can do.

Damn. Stroll hitting Gasly was very unnecessary.
- Really understating it here. Stroll's driven quite poorly today in general, to be honest, so I can't say I'm entirely shocked.
  
  He should be getting penalty points for that move.

I just don't understand why McLaren put Norris and Piastri on hard tyres.
Even split strategies surely after seeing how long George lasted on softs
- We'll see, the C1 is a new tire this year. It's possible most teams underestimated it.

- I get the hards for Piastri, but soft was the obvious call for Lando. Just strange that they would give him such a disadvantage on the restart.

Great defense from Norris and Piastri, didnt think they would keep the mercedes behind them.
- I'm gonna need a replay of Norris' defence against Hamilton. That was imo the best racing we got this year so far.

I don't think giving McLarens hard tires is a good idea... They're trying to play it too safe.

- I'm honestly shocked that Sainz hasn't done better than he has. I'd backed him for a podium shot, but this has not been a great race for him.

Really strong defending from Alonso there considering how bad the Aston were here today.

I think there needs to be a rework for the penalties. You look at WEC and a penalty seriously stings. Drive-throughs costing 30 seconds, S&G being 60s. What do we get, 5s for taking a driver out? The penalties are anemic
- As is, the penalties are clearly not a deterrent to possibly dangerous conduct. That's got to change.
- The intent was not to take a driver out. Hence the penalty.
  
  I don't think WEC drivers intend to cause incidents or leave track limits either, it's a result of driving hard and if you go over those limits, then you get a penalty. This isn't about intent, this is about the pathetic slap on the wrist for bad driving.

Piastri is the new Invisible Man. Sitting casually in 4th as a rookie and nobody is even talking about him!
- Really unlucky safety car for him. He absolutely deserved the podium today.

If Max has a "weakness" it's actually starts.
Which in his case means he's just really good at them and not otherworldly, but still.
- I think there might be a car problem on starts too. Perez has had similarly bad starts and Ver has had better starts in previous years
  
  It's true that they've had some clutch problems over the past two years. Still, I'm not sure Max was ever renowned for his starts the way Alonso is (was?) for instance.
- But is it a weakness of Max or of the Red Bull? I don't remember many great starts of Perez either.
  
  It's the car. Red Bull has commented in the past about trying to reduce wheel spin at the start of races by rolling on the power more slowly. They're better than they have been, but clearly not as good as McLaren.

Excellent race and so glad to see McLaren making big gains!

Out of the last few races I think this was one of the better ones, it had several fun moments.
Also, please fix your qualifying Checo, you’re killing me here

Piastri is doing amazing, keeping close to Norris, serious shot at a podium today
- He earned it but unlucky with the safety car.

Congrats to Lewis on second place. No way is Lando going to be able to hold him back.
- What a battle it was! Can't believe Lando was and to keep ahead.

As always this season, I will be hoping Max doesn't win, but I am excited to see what McLaren can do.

Great race. A podium with Norris and Hamilton is something I wish we would see more often

Very much enjoyed this race. Quite a few exciting moments throughout! Stoked for Lando too. I have a feeling with this package of upgrades it might be possible for Piastri to podium, he came so close today. Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my end to see a rookie do well!
