5Tbf, his alibi for "tax evasion" is that he was under the impression that his staff took care of those. Sure it's good practice to check if your staff is doing their job, but from what we know of BBM (a bum), I wouldn't expect him to do that.
It's also not unheard of to miss filing ITRs out of oversight. My first employer failed to do it for 3 years and I only found out when they couldn't give me my TIN number. It wasn't malicious or anything.
That said, I do like this law because it helps freelancers pay taxes easier by digitizing BIR services. They don't have paid leaves so they don't have the luxury of setting aside a day to do that.

5Not only tipping, but we should also stop vilifying people who do not practice CLAYGO in public kasi parehas lang root nyan. Employers don't want to hire more cleaners (or in some cases yung security guard pinagliligpit kahit wala naman extra) and they're relying on you being a fucking crab that will post and shame others who don't fix the table for the next customer.
5Looks like r/PH has been getting posts about my Evangelion uploads. Thanks to those who have been talking about it!
For the uninitiated, the tagalog dub has been considered lost media for decades! Not only did ABS-CBN air it just once and never again but no uploads exist anywhere and no one has stepped forward with recordings. I myself have never watched it and only learned that a tagalized version aired in the late 90s, thanks to an r/PH thread a few years ago. There was no way I could have recorded it even if I was aware of its existence because it conflicted with Gundam, a series that's more popular in the family despite being Eva fans as well.
Fortunately, someone replied to my Gundam Wing post correcting me about the actual air date (of GW) and revealing that he has recordings to prove his claim. The conversation led to him saying he has the Evangelion series (all 26 episodes!) as well as a few other rare anime and he sold it to me.
I don't make any money from the channels, but I think it was well worth it. The wife would probably thump me on the head when she finds out, lmao.

Tapes are honestly robust. Not many people know that so they tend to give up on their tapes if they get flooded, dirty, or the ribbon gets cut. Plenty of VHS got discarded during Ondoy when it could still be remedied. Dust, molds, and sticky shed - they can be cleaned. Huge pain in the ass, though! Here's me cleaning one that's super dirty.

When I first started, I just bought a cheap VCR and a digital dongle that's around 2k all in all. The results are okay, but you run into problems when the tape is in bad shape. I have since learned a lot and upgraded to better equipment.
It's expensive (due to rarity), but luckily for me, VHS restoration isn't a thing here so you can buy stuff much cheaper than those in the US. I was able to get an S-VHS player here for 9k when on eBay it runs for 84k++
Digitizing is real time. I copy it losslessly, upscale it a bit to 720p, then compress to mp4. I can't afford a frame TBC (device used to clean VCR signals that was pricey then and is more pricey and rare now) so sometimes there's not much I can do with super old and poorly-recorded tapes even if I have 80% of the highly recommended capture setup.

Most of it is from the little I was able to save from my own recordings. Used to have like 60 tapes but only set aside 15 when we remodeled the house a long time ago. The rest, I buy off Carousell or FB for dirt cheap because the seller just wants to get rid of it. Some are donations.
I regret getting in the hobby late in the game. Those who own recordings likely disposed of them many years ago. You also have to contend with cartels who buy tapes just so they're the only ones who have copies of any lost media.

3Kumusta yung first week back nyo last week? Between my unplanned covid leave and planned leaves, I was away from work for three weeks. Ang hirap mag-adjust and mag-focus ulit. Not sure if post-covid effect or ako lang talaga.
Also, the first email I read back was the announcement of the Philhealth contribution increase, so that was fun.

3I never thought that this year would bring someone to me that would so drastically change my outlook in life that I feel as if I can be myself after decades of being forced to fit into something I'm not. I've never felt so light, like a massive burden has been taken off my shoulders. These innate connections and natural compatibility, as well as so many other things that I have never felt before in my life. Feelings so intense and overflowing that there seems no end in sight. I can truly be myself around this person and she feels the same way about me too.
This is way better than a dream. I never would have looked for this, or thought it was possible, but here I am. She is real. If there's something greater than true love, this is it. Everything just feels so natural and so free, there are no walls between us and we can just be ourselves, and the other just gets it. Never felt or seen in others such a wonderful feeling before. I once thought love was something else, but now? There's no doubt that this is it. It's definitely her. No doubt at all.
I've always had nagging doubts and limits to myself in my past relationships, but this one, there's none of that. Never have I felt the whole of me react like this to someone before, and neither have I seen others feel this way. She is definitely the one. I've never been more sure about anything in my life.

0A congressman argued that for jeepney modernization to push through under the "PrObLeMa NyO nA mGa TsUpEr YaN", the fare has to be 40 pesos or roughly 10k/day in earnings, whichever is higher.
Naturally, those calling the drivers drama queens and pounding their chests about the environment, disagrees with it. Bakit daw mga pasahero sasagot, bakit hindi gobyerno — which is 1000% the reason why the drivers have been picketing for years, lmao.

1Hi @decandentrebel ginamit ko 6-year old post mo sa reddit for reference para mag inquire ng CCTV sa Dynaquest. Sadly pangit ang experience ko nung kinausap ang taga Mandaluyong (Kalentong) branch.
Would you still advise me checking with another branch? Baka mas smooth? Or maybe another store altogether?
1Can't speak for their CCTV expertise because I think that's a different animal from assembling PCs, lol. I don't even go to DynaQuest anymore when PC building, I just buy from the cheapest (but reliable) Shopee stores + FB/Carousell sellers and put my own together.
That said, try Eton Cyberpod? That's the branch I've been to the most back then.

You know, this puts those many posts asking for donations for dogs/cats into perspective. Nung isang araw duda ako dun sa pusa na nasagasaan yung lower jaw and basag yet the clinic was able to restore it back. Feel ko it's a different cat and the original actually didn't make it.

I've seen it, it actually does the opposite where they excuse every bad thing that happens here for whatever reason. Frankly, I think that's worse and it worries me that there's a trend of people having misplaced nationalism. I'm okay with people pointing out if something wrong is happening, even when it's exaggerated at times because at it's core, things could be better.

2Recently lang ako naka-encounter ng e-bikers (didn't know that's what they're called) and they really need to be regulated. They don't wear helmets, hindi nila tinatabi even if they sense a convoy of vehicles piling up on their six, they don't make hand gestures when turning, and they often end up on busy roads.
On a related note, dapat may coding na rin mga motorcycles. In theory wala kasi they're small enough to fit into anything, but in reality that isn't the case. There's so many of them parang kotse na rin sila with the space they take up. Heck, the riders themselves would be the first to tell you that they don't have any glaring advantages against traffic anymore.

That's a good point, but easier said than done with increasingly elaborate salisi methods. Itong ketchup modus nga lang is amateur hour. You can just ignore them when you realize na it's just a rehash of the "dura" tactic. Yung matindi talaga yung nambabangga kasi mangyayari talaga yun and 99% of the time hindi sya modus.

As someone who has rode an e-jeep many times when I was still commuting, I just want to clear some of the misinformation:
Jeepney drivers NEED boundary not just because they only make money when they hit the quantifiers, it's so they could make more. It's even more imperative that they do once the modernization happens so they could pay for the loan.
I don't get what OP meant na dapat hindi payagan ng mga pasahero yung ganyan sistema. What does he want us to do, boycott jeeps? Lmao.

Kung regular ka sa jeep pag umuulan, you would know na may cellophane na trapal yung jeep na pwede ibaba once umulan. It's virtually impossible to get wet once that's in place.
The downside is pag tumila na ulan, ang init sa loob. That's the same problem you have with an e-jeep except it's 100% of the time. Nakasara bintana kasi may aircon pero yung aircon naman mahina so para kang naka-sauna. It's literally the reason why I quit working in the office!
0The boundary system is what motivates poor driving habits among PUVs. It literally incentivizes them to break laws in order to maximize their income. It should be removed.
