Utah to follow Arizona in decision that cost Arizona $1 Billion

www.deseret.com Utah’s governor wants to talk about getting rid of the state’s income tax. How lawmakers responded.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox says it’s time to talk about getting rid of the state income tax as lawmakers ready another rate cut during the 2024 Legislature.

Litterally just posted about how Arizona is suffering from exactly this decision...

  • I would love not to pay my rent, but you have to pay your bills. Cutting taxes just because you don’t want to pay them results in the government that doesn’t work. Of course, that’s what Republicans want.

  • I mean it works here in Nevada. Of course we have exorbitant "Resort Fees" at all the hotels to make up for it, but as long as people keep flying in to pay it, it works for us locals. Not sure skiing and churches are as big of a tourist draw as casinos though.

  • Anything to cut taxes for the rich -_- seriously a decreased or eliminated income tax wont fucking help anyone else and will only make it so we cant pave our fucking roads....
