  • Because of how underfunded our social services are, people now believe that they’re bad because they’re “free” and are seeing the American model as better and more sustainable. Conservatives here, as in the party, are using our problems to their advantage and it’s worrying. I truly believe things will get worse before they get better.

    • Yeah, we're seeing a classic mechanic playing out in Canada where the government chokes funding to public services, and then tells the public that public sector is inefficient leading to privatization.
