I am in this picture and I don't like it!
- I have a few more and I try to trick the system with intervals of 2 and 3 minutes between some of them to be different!
  
  Yes, some variation is good! Also pick a slightly different interval than the snooze time, so if you hit snooze it is triggered twice xD

Can I tell you about our good lord and savior; snooze?
- there is a risk of pressing "stop" instead of snooze or not hearing the alarm at all, I'm with OP on this one, I tend to go 2 or 3 depending on how tired I am, but never 1 xD

- The problem is (at least on android by default) the difference between turning off a timer (losing your job and your wife and becoming homeless) or hitting snooze is literally swiping to the left or to the right. While you are basically still asleep. That is literally the dumbest fucking horse shit UX every created and that's why multiple timers are needed so you can either snooze or turn the alarm off and still get a second chance for not becoming homeless.
  
  I have an old school alarm clock. I've had it for over 20 years now and my wife hates it. But it's still fully functional.
- I never snooze so I have the muscle memory for turning off the alarm. So what'll happen is I'll just turn my alarm off and go back to sleep. Sometimes I don't even remember doing it.

  alarm clock gives in. shuts it down until tomorrow.
  but my flip phone, i have to open and push the correct button to shut off an alarm. that's enough to wake me up enough to piss me off. so i guess it 'works'.

Rookie mistake. The snooze goes off every five minutes. You need alarms for when you sleep through the snooze. Set them for 7:00, 7:06, 7:11
- You got to offset your offsets, man! 7:00, 7:06, 7:12, 7:18, 7:24.

There are apps that will require you to do something to shut them off.
I have to go scan a QR code on my coffee maker to shut off the alarm, but you can do stuff like solve math problems.
- My cousin slept on my couch for a night, had forgotten to deactivate his alarm for the weekend, so his alarm went off waking me tf up.
  So I had to walk out of my room and solve a fucking puzzle I'd never seen before while the bastard slept thru it all
  He's the heaviest sleeper on Earth.
- I love my alarm app, AMdroid.
  Has all kinds of challenge things I don't use (but probably should), but I do use the post alarm function.
  5 minutes after I dismiss the alarm, I'll get a notification asking if I'm awake. If I don't respond in another 5 mins, a louder more obnoxious alarm will go off. Its like having multiple alarms, but with out the need to set/disable all the extras.
  Also each time I snooze, the time gets 2 minutes shorter. 10mins, 8, 6, 4, 2...
  
  Yup, that's the app I use. For a while I used an NFC tag instead of a QR code, but the tag started failing and I didn't want to solve 10 math problems every time it did.

Wake up on first alarm, can't relate. My gf however, needs 85 alarms because she doesn't Snooze, she just Dismisses.
- I started using multiple alarms for some time, but I noticed that I was starting to completely ignore them to the point of not hearing them. I was actually a bit scared when I noticed and I said fuck that. Now I have 2 alarms to really pay attention to them. One at wake up time and other when I should be at the door, just in case.

I've been using this app for years. Need to solve math problems, do a chapta, scan a qr code or even steps to turn off the alarm. Allowed to snooze with snooze limits.
I've got just two alarms. Work and not work days!
- Ngl, I had this for a week, and it was hell. Not only did I have to wake up every morning, I now had to start my day with thinking and math. Just let me be late to work in peace
  
  That's why it's good!! I'm a terrible morning person and this truly forces me to get up and wake my brain up.

Our neighbor in the dorms had 6 alarm clocks going off within seconds of each other. He did this to force himself to get up and walk around his room turning them off.

That's me. 😅 I have 7:45 8:00 8:35 & 9:00. I found out that this is the perfect setup for me. Depending on how tired I am I can take a nap until the next alarm. If I wake up I dismiss them anyway.
- I tried to have an alarm across the room on a table to force me to get out of bed and turn it off. I found out that I was able to stop them and keep sleeping without remembering ever doing it.
  Went back to have 5 or 10 alarms in the phone again.

And you sleep through all of them, because you went to sleep around 5:00, but gotta work at 7.

I always find having a bunch of alarms that go off every 5 minutes pointless . You just fall back asleep for 2 or 3 minutes just to get woken up again . What I do is after my alarm goes off I set a timer for 15-20 minutes so I can atleast a back to sleep for a minutes before I get up.

I had to start using my damn phone alarm again after my useless Google speakers failed to trigger them a couple times. WTF, do they save the alarms on the cloud or something? Seems like something that should be running locally and should rarely fail, it's a damn alarm, not a Space Shuttle.
