I had money down on a Chevrolet Blazer EV for release. I started hearing negative things before they became available. Asked dealer to hold. Vehicles start shipping and the list is glaring:
Underpowered
Unreliable infotainment system with some units completely bricking
Major charging issues.
Nerfed towing capabilities
Got my deposit back. If they had just released a non-luxury Lyriq, that would have worked, but they had to nerf it and make it considerably worse. Not that the 2 and 3 are not issues on the Lyriq.
InsideEV‘s is a Tesla shill site - I wouldn’t trust anything they say; they basically shit on any other brand and then try to compare it to Tesla in the same article, constantly. They will always find a way to pump Tesla and Evanex.
Nonsense. It's plainly obvious Ultium has been a mess, and this article describes how based on quotes from Ms Barra herself acknowledging issues. There isn't even a mention of Tesla beyond saying that GM has been reluctant to poach talent from them and preferring to use their own experience and supply chains. GM has a mystery contractor that's clearly failing on module and pack assembly, in addition to software issues. If anything, this article praises the Chinese manufacturers that are producing "ultium" vehicles since they have more experience assembling packs.
Again, nonsense on your part. First off, here’s an example of exactly what I mean:
Everything is a horse race to this site, and they have to squeeze in any comparison they can, and right there in the sub header.
Secondly, I’m not mentioning GM at all; don’t move the goalposts, if you don’t mind.
I’m specifically commenting on how they (and Electrek, to a lesser degree) can’t seem to write about a car company without mentioning Tesla by comparison. That is constant promotion on their part, and not in any way fair reporting.
