Valdez, Alaska, could follow the likes of Riverside, Iowa, and Bloomington, Indiana, in granting a future Star Trek citizen their own memorial.
We all know it's a Thomas Riker statue.
9My question is where, there is a community center of sorts but it's a bit off the beaten path. There wasn't a park or similar community space the last time I was there (admittedly that was 20 years ago). They could put it at the airport or in front of the hotel or maybe down by the docks but that's about it.
6If it's anything like the Janeway statue near to me in Bloomington, Indiana (still haven't made my pilgrimage despite going to Bloomington to visit my mother all the time), it will be on an urban trail.

According to The Register, it's in Ruth Pond Park? I looked it up in Google Maps, and it looks like it's nicely developed enough that a statue somewhere out there wouldn't look too weird.
