ROME, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Footage of police beating pro-Palestinian students drew broad condemnation in Italy on Friday, with the opposition calling for the interior minister to address parliament over the episode.
Student marches were blocked by police in the Tuscan cities of Florence and Pisa, with images of officers vigorously using their truncheons on school-age protesters in Pisa triggering outrage on social media and from politicians.
I am publishing this article because I received a report about a post reporting the same news, but which was deleted because doubts were expressed about the reliability of the site used as a source.
Unfortunately that post, published by one of our users, was totally founded and correct
It was me... I chose the article which best described those facts, unfortunately there was very little attention given to the event by the international press, so only few sources were available. I preferred to delete my post because the accusation of being "Erdoğan's propaganda" would have led the article to be ignored. I posted a more neutral press agency note in another more "tolerant" community to avoid similar effects again.

Unfortunately you are right: the Italian government is not a fascist government (this is not the right place to explain my statements), but unfortunately it is a government in which the majority of ministers and deputy ministers extol the fascist ideology and desire employment of fascist methods.
There is therefore no surprise at this fascist drift, but it is important that Europe and the whole world are indignant at these drifts, because this is the only way to help millions of numb Italians to emerge from their lethargy.

"They are not ducks, they just look like ducks, walk like ducks and quack like ducks".
What is interesting is that the police force is probably mostly the same as it was before the neo-fascists came to power. It's almost like they just waited to be able to do that with little repercussion.
This is unfortunately not just an incident in Italy. As the moral and political doubt about the crimes of Israel and the complicity of many western governments is diwndling, opression of protests is increasing. We see it in San Francisco, New York, London, Berlin and now in Italy too.
The governments that keep supporting Israels gruesome crimes against the Palestinians revert to often brutal opression of democratic protests. It cannot be what must not be. The lip service of months of "reminding" Israel of its humanitarian obligations is nothing more than that. Weapons and funding are sent to Israel to continue. UNRWA is attacked based on Israeli claims that remain without any evidence presented. And the protestors who call it out are beaten in the streets.
