Also has a TDP of 620W.

10That is what surprises me with this announcement: we moved a while ago from a more powerful, limited number of cores to smaller, more numerous, and less consuming cores. Power consumption increases to the square of the frequency of the processor, so what is the advantage of moving away from that model?

Fastest ever stock CPU sure. But I believe there was some old AMD CPU that got overclocked to more than 8Ghz!
