I don't want to be a bother to anyone. But if anyone asks me I will gladly help and not think of them as a bother. I don't know why I can't, in the moment, realize others most likely feel the same. Must be a self esteem thing.
38ReplyYou are not the only one who feels this way.
12ReplyI concur

I'm actually this kind of person, and sometimes I wish I had asked others for help.
I feel like I never actually helped anyone so I do not deserve anything.
16Replyhave you ever thought about volunteering anywhere? that could be a good place to get started helping people.

What it feels like being drunk out of my mind trying to navigate my wheelchair bound grandma back home after an aggravated afternoon of boggle.
7ReplyReminds me of an old Jewish mother joke.
How many Jewish mothers does it take to change a lightbulb?
"It's all right, I'll just sit in the dark."
7ReplyI just hung 4 shelves in my garage. 2 were 8ft long, and 2 were 10ft long. I’m proud to have done it by myself
3ReplyThat's awesome! There's a home improvement comm around here somewhere that seems to have a lot of DIYers.

3ReplyI did an entire move once using an office chair like this. Fortunately both apartments were in the same complex.
3ReplyShould've asked the maintenance guy to use his dolly. Most are pretty cool about stuff like that.
1Reply
