It seems like a cheap option to appear valid is being used to promote misinformation. Who could possibly have seen this coming?
- blue or any colour check has been solidified in my mind as a source of misinformation lol
- I mean that's all but explicitly what they wanted.
X is dead. Just accept it and move on. It will be even more dead once generative AI takes over everything. If it has not already.
Well, yeah...
Just because the act.il app got shutdown doesn't mean the Israeli government stopped paying people to spread propaganda.
They just stopped doing it openly through the main app stores.

According to Mondoweiss, an email sent in March of 2022 to the app's users announced that the app will be shut down but that users should continue to interact with Act.IL's content on its other social media platforms.
