Changing the handle

Hello folks,

I fear I know the answer but would it be possible to change the handle later on? I know it’s sentimental but I’d like to change just the handle instead of the whole account.

The answers I saw are a bit outdated therefore I thought I give it a try to ask here.

By handle do you mean the display name or the actual @blah@derp tag? The former is in the profile settings, the latter wouldn't work short of changing im the DB maybe

  I.E.: if you could get the instance owner, it might be possible if they are willing to manually edit the database
