All multi-engine pilots are trained to deal with a possible engine failure during the takeoff roll. It forms part of ever single recurrent check we do and is therefor one of the most practiced manoeuvres of all. But very few pilots actually get to experience a REAL engine failure and even fewer will experience the insanity that these two pilots had to endure.
