Pearl was adopted by my partner 3 years ago. At that time we couldn't pet her. She now jumps onto my lap (1 year ago) and sits on my partners chest with her ass in my partners face (3 months ago).
It's really neat seeing them get more comfortable and how long it takes. -

Sometimes it takes a while. It took nearly 2 years before Daisy would sit on my lap - but only if I have her special blue blanket on my lap first!
