The controversial Cooper Davis Act has been voted out of committee, meaning it will take another step towards enactment.
On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee moved forward a bill called the Cooper Davis Act that would make tech companies report users suspected of criminal drug activity to the DEA.

As usual, the US's approach to the war on drugs can be summed up in one word: yiiiiiiiikes.
Congress is incapable of doing anything positive where drugs are concerned. Heck, "positive" for the US with drugs is usually along the lines of "we're now crushing fewer orphans than last year!" Drugs are such a minor crime that it's crazy to make companies snitch for that.
6It's not going to get fixed, because if the war on drugs was won, there'd be no one to fill up the run-for-profit prisons.
