After playing this game for 5 year on Tlauncher and Cracked mcpe version I finally decided to buy Minecraft, one of my buddy said that he knows a reseller where they sell Minecraft keys for cheap. As I am broke i opted for that option and I paid my friend and he bought me the key. He told me to redeem the key from a Microsoft website but I didn't realise that I was logged into one of my alt accounts and now I have Minecraft on my alt account. Mildly infuriating.
Yeaa that sucks. You can always try to contact Microsoft and tell them you bought the game on the wrong account. With a little luck they are able to transfer the game to the other account.
True, maybe redeemed codes are nonrefundable either way.
You can always try contact support. But maybe it doesn't have to be a big trouble.
I got myself Minecraft since Alpha and got free upgrades up till today. I can install Minecraft Bedrock and Java on my Windows 11 system and if my daughter wants to play I can simply let it log into her account (using Minecraft Launcher) and the game runs just fine on her account.
So same thing can be possible for you. Just download and install the game through your alt. Log into your main and play the game.
Sorry, not interested. Google for "switch names between Minecraft accounts" or something like and "switch Microsoft email/account of Minecraft account".
Yeah this should be a way easier option. But if I'm not wrong, there's a 30 day lock for the old username of the account. It's supposedly to prevent name snipers. So OP should try getting their username back as quick as they can after the 30 day period.
I also consider buying the game but after report of they could perma ban your account in an offline world because you used a remotely considered as a swear words I was like nope and bought Terraria with that money instead
