So they're jacking it up to use the weight of the car to provide the torque needed to undo the bolt. Why do I have a feeling the bumper is the weak link in this scenario and all they'll end up with is a stuck bolt and a hole in their bumper.
I think the wrench is braced on the hitch; it only appears that it's touching the bumper. It's hard to tell, but giving them the benefit of a doubt, that's what it looks like to me.
We did this. Tried to change a tire a d broke 3 jacks. Had to lift the car up as my partner tried to jam a kank under the car. Eventually it snapped and we had to call a tow truck. Just asked the guy to crank it up so I could change my tire
I can't remember exactly. Think the jacks were on soft ground and they moved under the weight of the car. Slipped and the car came crashing down on them. Went through 2 I think. 3rd survived
I've got a 600mm adjustable spanner and a 920mm pipe wrench for this job, it's easy to set them up so I can pull them together with my hands and break the lock on the bolt.
