  • When you download the game with only english voice overs, but are on a system with another language, you won't hear any voices and will be missing music as well. Rename the 0024.en.pac inside the Final Fantasy XVI/data/0024.en.pac to 0024.XX.pac, where XX is your locale, like "de". When you now set both game's language settings, you will have english voice overs with your native language's text. To avoid this situation entirely, download all voice overs.

  • It was a limited scale action to show the impact possible. If reddit indeed won't move it could become indefinitely. /r/ffxiv already wanted to move it to a week or indefinitely.
