'We're not going back': Some Never-Trump Republicans embrace Harris' 'top cop' persona
  • I really like him, but I think she'd do much better naming a younger VP. He is exceptionally qualified, but he's probably going to quell some of the enthusiasm young voters are showing for Harris.

Dems Mock Trump as ‘Too Old’ to Run—Like He Did to Biden
  • Democrats have been concerned with his age, it was being taken seriously, hence the calls for him to pass the torch. I think his age was being taken seriously. While he was the presumptive nominee, he would have had my vote because I believe Trump should never ever be allowed to serve again. I've said I'd have voted for a dead frog before I'd vote for Trump and that wasn't a joke.

I don't think it's hypocrisy to support the candidate you have been given, until he isn't the candidate any longer.

I do see your point; I believe that it is the perception of many outside the Democrat party.

Dems Mock Trump as ‘Too Old’ to Run—Like He Did to Biden
  • He was nominated by the Greenback party, (third party) running against the Democrat and Republican nominees. He had less than 1% chance to win according to his wiki. I'd say that no matter how fuzzy the definition of major party is, the Greenbacks weren't that.

He sounds like he was an intelligent person who was concerned with social justice, especially for the native tribes.

It’s vitally important that Democrats now ask one question and one question only: Does Biden have the best chance of beating Trump, or is there someone else readily available who has a better chance?
  • And yet, I and many others will vote for him. We cannot let Trump anywhere near the presidency. I honestly would vote for a dead frog over Trump. The staff that's in place is competent, have done well for us, and I believe they'll hold things together until Kamala takes over.

Of course we would all rather a much younger, charismatic candidate, but it is what it is.

At this point, I truly believe most Democratic voters understand the assignment.

Lindsey Graham warns ‘accountability coming to Biden’ if Trump wins
  • Do it. You'd be amazed at how many people on the left have done so.

My husband and I did. We've trained extensively. I can guarantee you the other side knows how to use their weapons. It feels ridiculous, but I really think bad things are coming and we'd better be prepared.

I hope y'all laugh at me and call me ridiculous, but I'm truly concerned.

Lindsey Graham warns ‘accountability coming to Biden’ if Trump wins
  • Well, King Trump I will just look at it anyway, and have Biden prosecuted anyway. It'll be HIS official act, and that will (forgive me) trump any of Biden's official acts. We all know the protection of immunity is for them, not us.

    This SCOTUS is so corrupt.

Do I have schizophrenia or I am scammed by psychiatrist?
  • Are you living life on your own and making it ok? Are the voices/conversations interfering with what you want or need to do? Are they interfering with your relationships?

That's a lot of questions, but my nephew would have answered No to the first question and Yes to the others. He's a diagnosed schizophrenic, and I'm telling you about him because getting on meds turned his life around. He's working now, has an apartment and is maintaining relationships.

I know it's frightening, but you've had two doctors diagnose you. It might be worth trying the meds. Ask if there are programs that can help you pay.

I hope things work out for you.

New Covid wave has begun and masks should be worn again, scientists warn
  • Someone called me a libtard under his breath, but loudly enough to make sure I heard...in a CANCER center, where many of us were having our immune systems weakened by chemo.

You can't fix stupid so I don't even try. I've been in remission for almost two years, I'm healthy and he's out there sucking in viruses. We both have ticking clocks, but mine is ticking much more slowly than his is.

What are some insults in english that will make non-native speakers have to ask someone their meaning?
  • South Louisiana here. It can be used affectionately (seeing a sick child and saying Bless your heart) but I find it is more often used to point out someone's lack of intelligence or bad behaviour (Karen is pitching an absolute fit in the checkout lane at Albertsons because she misread a price label...Bless her heart)

Maybe you're from a more polite area of the south, but where I am we are heavily into calling out morons.
