What to watch?
  • Same thing for me ! I'm currently watching the season 2 of Critical Role on YouTube. It's not a TV show but it's high quality show for sure. It's a standalone campaign of Dungeon & Dragon. It's so good and there are so many hours of content !

What are you playing this week? (2024.03.23)
  • Pentiment ! On the advice of someone from Lemmy. Good game some far ! The story is good, well documented. I'm in the Act III (i think it's the last one)

What are you playing this week? March 11 2024 Edition
  • Last Epoch in hardcore mode. I'm so invested in that game ! I'm currently near the end of the campaign with a warrior and the adrenaline is high when I'm low HP.

[Discussion thread][Spoilers] Dune: Part Two - Denis Villeneuve - 2024
  • I couldn't agree more. The story feels rushed. The hero succeed in every attempt. There is a small internal struggle for him but it's basically it. Therefore the enemy seems weak. You don't feel any adversity for the hero.

The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion
  • I'm also a big fan of the first game. It's literally the same game but with a huge graphic upgrade. You will not be surprised by the gameplay loop.

But the big plus is the ambiance. I feel like I'm in an action movie (the fog, the effects, the music) and with friends it's awesome to share that feeling.

I don't have experienced any crashes so far on PS5. But we had long queues at the release. It's far better now (1-2 minutes yesterday). However the quickplay is still broken for me (tried yesterday). So if you don't have a group of friends to play with, it's gonna be rough without matchmaking.

What are you playing this week? February 19 2024 Edition
  • Yeah, apart from multiplayer issues. Impossible to play on Saturday night. I don't know how you can justify that when Sony is behind your back.

But I have pre ordered the digital premium edition of Starfield. And I was there on launch. So anything can happen to me in gaming now.

Will the generation growing up on modern games have any nostalgic aesthetic?
  • We are spoiled with good games if you know where to look. We had less possibilities back then. So yeah, they will be nostalgic of the great games coming out recently !

What are you playing this week? (2023.10.27)
  • Compared to Elden Ring :

    • the combat is faster. The game expects you to attack and not to wait for the opportunity. For example, when an enemy attacks you and you defend with your shield. You loose temporary hit points that you recover only by attacking. If you get hit, you loose all these temporary hit points. It will depend on what gameplay you like.
    • I struggle much more on Elden Ring for the reason above. So for me, Elden Ring is more difficult.
    • it's very linear for the moment like the old souls (20 hours of game time). It's not an open world. But the game design of the old souls is better.
    • The customization of your character is very much like the souls. No winner here.
    • The overall ambiance of the game is amazing.
    • The two worlds feature is not really interesting. The mechanic faded pretty quickly for me. It's now more annoying than the wow effect at the beginning of the game

I think it's a good game. There are definitely some flaws but I'm enjoying the experience.
