Well, it was nice while it lasted?
  • Understandable yet still terrible news. We might still get weird and good auteur films off the back of mainstream movie profits, but I have the pessimistic feeling that even if things would go this way, it will not last long. A24 has been putting out amazing movies for a while now and it would be sad to see it lose its focus because of this equity crap.

  • These happen all the time with digital "releases", they charge obscene amount for rental but the price comes down to regular amount in a few weeks. High prices for the most impatient.

    How many people actually dropped Reddit for Lemmy?
  • When Sync came out I moved to Lemmy. Using that familiar and customizable software made the switch super easy. Nowadays I primarly browse Lemmy but tend to check Reddit for official movie discussions and gaming issues/help, rarely use the web client to that though. RedReader for mobile.
