Great quote but one of the points is that Lemmy makes it easier to switch between servers haha!
I feel that the best thing about federated social like Lemmy is just that there's no reason to engagement farm. Like I could get big on Lemmy but unless I'm able to direct that traffic somewhere else effectively, who cares?
Just joined a few days ago, actually loving it so far. Of course we lack a few of my fav subs here but I know it'll grow.

Realest answer hahaha! I probably would have just used it to actually sleep. I forgot to change my alarm so I lost an hour of sleep even though I had no reason to wake up that early

Really good shows don't have this problem as much. There were times in Severance (my recent show obsession) where I thought some communication between characters would have made more sense - but upon reflection it seemed fair what they were keeping from each other.
But yeah some shows are like "if these two people had a 3 message text conversation the entire plot wouldn't exist" 😂
