  • I'm not upset by the sentiment, I'm upset by the flippant naivete. Go tell Ukrainians or Gazans about your solution for world peace and count down the seconds till you get punched in the face.

  • Nah war is cringe.

Wow I'm literally shaking right now. I just showed your comment to Putin and he immediately ordered all Russian troops out of Ukraine. Your Nobel Peace Prize invitation should arrive momentarily.

  • I think the idea would be, if the US invades Canada, to make us more like Afghanistan than Switzerland. Or perhaps Finland is a better comparison, being somewhere in the middle.

  • I think the guy in the pith helmet went to the wrong event -- Elon's office is in another part of town.

  • I get the sentiment, but the term "colonial" is a bit condescending after 300+ years. It's like calling Turks or Magyars "nomads".

  • Facebook has spent something like 70 billion dollars on the "metaverse" with nothing to show for it, so it's very possible.

  • Really, can you point out which section that's in? All I find is "creating fake accounts or content, including fake reviews", which doesn't apply here if the person does use the service.

  • ou’re not allowed to review your own companies software

Says who? They can still be a user of it.

  • Yeah, I`m all for roasting Plex but nothing about that review is inappropriate or prima facie untruthful.

  • Well done, Carney. Starmer deserves to be called out for slobbering Trump's little orange mushroom so relentlessly. It's an embarrassment.

  • What's this from again? The Mummy? Love this scene.

  • without using it in the way recently popularized by US fascists.

It was a campaign slogan for the Canadian Conservative Party too, as well as used heavily by Conservatives in my province during the last election. "Common sense" has always been a fig leaf for somebody wanting to believe they hold a majority view when that is not supported by polls.

  • I'd add to that list anybody who uses the term "common sense".

  • the followers [of fascism] must be convinced that they can overwhelm the enemies. Thus, by a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak. Fascist governments are condemned to lose wars because they are constitutionally incapable of objectively evaluating the force of the enemy.

  • Your comment just sounds like a high schooler upset that people like other types of music.

Yes, that's definitely it, rather than the multiple lawsuits and claims of plagiarism she has faced over the years.
