This is all an elaborate plan for Red Bull to show the new floor to the other teams, only this time the floor was developed to be shit. So now all teams will be chasing the shit floor that RB developed here.
Or at least that's what I want to believe in. Send help please
Aren't Silverstone and Hungaroring 2 of the fast paced tracks that suit the McLaren package? They were better there last year as well, but were still falling behind the rest of the season, albeit in big part due to Ric not showing up.
I want to believe, but I think we will only have an overall grasp at the improvement after Belgium/Netherlands
Yep exactly, but at the same time you would be driving for the clear number 1 team in the grid right now, there is no refusing that, even if you are putting yourself against the current best in the world (IMO) on the other seat.
I hope it will work out for whoever replaces Perez, if they even replace him. Right now AT has confirmed Ric is back, so it is not boding well for Checo
I'm not saying they are doing anything on purpose based on this season, Checo let it slip in a few races and got himself into this position alone. But from Danny Ric's season with RB I think it was obvious they realized they couldn't have another driver fight for wins with Max, as Max was just way too dangerous fighting in those situations. So now they want a clear 2 to support Max and sit behind him, reaping the points to guarantee the constructors.
And I dunno who would want to take that role willingly
Edit: after a second thought my comment sounds like RB will have to force someone to drive for them lol not at all, I think a lot of drivers would be happy to drive for them. I just think that sitting on the shadow of Max all the time won't be amazing for their career.
So Danny Ric back in to fight with Tsunoda and show if he has what it takes. Next year they get Lawson into the AT and whoever from the 2 got the better hang of it replaces Perez at RB? I just don't know if any of the 2 would want to replace Perez, whoever goes to that seat is clearly a n2 driver with no shot at challenging Max and would quickly be stopped on their tracks if they tried.
Damn. I know he wasn't doing that great, but the way that Red Bull just makes way to someone else mid season is a bit harsh. If this is indeed true, hope Daniel can make it as I think this would be his last chance at landing a seat for next year.
