  • Life is like a long running tv show. Some previous seasons were awesome. This one sucks but I have to stay around to find out what happens next.
    Doesn't matter how bad it currently is, the curiosity to see which twist it pulls next is stronger.

  • I finally understood midi by comparing it with emojis. The unicode standard only defines characters and their meanings, but it's up to os or app developers to choose an actual visual representation to display.

  • These seems to be a big divide somewhere about Airbnb properties. Most of those I stayed in were like yours. Rental apartments for visitors wanting a nice place to themselves.

    Looks like there are at least 2 more sides to it - frauds trying to cheat customers on stuff like cleaning fees and insane rules. And people renting out their spare room.

  • Internet is already full of bullshit SEO content. Sometimes written by humans, and quite often by bots. For years now. What's coming is an arms race between different content generating AIs and search/answer AIs.
