Hyundai unveils world’s first hydrogen-powered, silent stealth battle tank
  • Do you even realize how much energy is needed to produce significant amounts of hydrogen and then compressing it to a useful pressure? FOB solar isn't going to cut it. Decentralized H2 production isn't a viable thing without fossil fuels or a working power grid.

    Cory hot take.
  • I just tell people to please use headphones or turn their whatever to silent. I've only once had a guy react not so nicely to that.

Stormtroopers holding position, fan art by Edouard Groult
  • Cool visual, but I don't understand why Stormtroopers lay prone in such small numbers in a position while there's this much firepower available.

I feel like they would either be in marching formation, assaulting, or not there in the first place.

Fortescue’s 6MW electric vehicle charger stuns the EV and mining industries
  • The theoretical energy density assumes no cryogenic tanks, no plumbing, and no fuel cells. Also the production, storage, and transfer of Hydrogen as a fuel is INCREDIBLY inefficient.

Is driving a car this awful all the time?
  • It really depends. You need to train yourself to focus on the important stuff and let the rest become second nature.

Driving a manual car usually doesn't take conscious effort to do, you just.. drive. But that takes practice. Lots of it.

And some people just never get there. Or they are afraid to drive, which tends to provoke dangerous situations. Or they can drive okay but don't pay enough attention to the road.

But usually driving with an instructor is stressful, once you get your license everything will be more relaxed and easier.

    Big Car = Safe
  • Unfortunately this is how many people think.

Personally I don't drive a large car, don't drive very fast, and try to use public transit as much as possible.

  • Occupants.

I don't care what happens to anyone I hit, as long as I can walk away from rolling my SUV at 200kmh.

BYD would still have the cheapest EV in the US, even with a 100% tariff
  • American (and european) car makers can't fill that market need due to higher labour costs and stricter environmental laws.

Also the fact that the chinese government heavily subsidizes electric auto makers skews the market in favour of the chinese manufacturers.
