Serious, important question about this instance.
I actually removed that match from the version I'm using so it unblurs everywhere lol. Do you think that's better?
yup, and they also wanna pretend like it's the bugs but if u look closely, the bugs appear after the things break, and then they attack the broken pipes, instead of attacking and breaking, it's more like they break and then they attack
and yeah the hazard of the mission determines how many times the pipes will break
holy fuck i know the dude, that artstyle is so like him, i didn't recognize it tho but i was gonna ask who made it cuz that shit's fire
i didn't know he's on some federation thing, tho i can't browse framapiaf, i assume it's like mastodon

i love david revoy, i think i learned most of my first steps in digital art from him> davidrevoy@framapiaf.org
Had never seen that word. "breastforms". I'm googling. Is it a piece of clothing that simulates breasts?
My cat used to knead the bed, my belly, a pillow, a sofa, my mom and the grass.
Rock and Stone to the bone!
same, I'm always in places like this, my e-mails are all from cock.li. I just love giving someone something like "yeah hi, e-mail me the job offer to jaimie@national.shitposting.agency". And together with being a bit annoyed at the inefficiency of other lemmy instances and how much they focused on which political party and ideology they should follow, this one was a breath of fresh air :)
PS. I still find it to be the best working instance out of all that I have tried. The big ones are slow, the small ones have wrong setups and are buggy, this one is just perfect 💯
God's stamp of approval
When I joined this one was one of the smaller ones lol. This instance has been alive for like 6 days.
shitlmao hahahhah
live without tab syncing.
Hmm. I just message things to my Telegram "Saved Messages" and copy them on phone and viceversa. Then again I haven't ever been able to rely on Firefox tab sync cuz it was buggy when i switched to kiwi, if it's better now idk how much better it is than my method. Anyway I have tested Firefox recently for a few things I do like reading novels and Kiwi works much better for the same purpose today.
i.e. when firefox loses cache it kills a tab and it takes several seconds, like 6, to reload it, and it's not as pleasant as the kiwi experience, which although it does kill inactive tabs to save memory/battery, it reloads them much faster and efficiently than firefox.
anyway i wish you good luck in your experiments and if you remember lmk what u decide in the end.
I don’t think there are fully distributed social networks out there today. Even nostr, a Twitter alternative with a basis in blockchain, has the issue that if a “relay” you used to post content goes down, that post disappears. The problem is that all of that data needs to be kept somewhere, and there’s a lot of content to keep.
That's exactly how Hive works by the way, each witness has a copy of the blockchain software, and to run a node and earn money from it, they must "sync" the blockchain and that means running all the blocks software to reproduce all blocks one by one. This process can take hours or days to finish. But afterwards, any node or group of nodes can die and as long as one witness node exists for every microservice (main chain, hive engine side chain for tokens, some metadata chain and there's a few other things ppl have invented idk what for), all data is safe. So as you say, it's expensive and a bit crazy to require everyone to host all the content available but when done it gives some safety to your data.
Hive is not federated tho. It's one thing, just hosted by many with 100% redundance.
Your best bet to protect your account is to self-host.
I was thinking of doing that, setting up my own server, but for some reason all the communities on the server I'm on (sh.itjust.works) are very small and the ones on lemmy.ml grow a lot, so it makes me think that it's much harder for people to find communities hosted on smaller servers than on big ones? Maybe I'm misreading the reasons.> Your best bet to protect your account is to self-host.
The only warning I can give you cuz it bothers some people around me is that it's centralized and closed source. It's also not privacy oriented. Other than that I like it more than Firefox in all respects.
ehhh I don't use firefox tho I use Kiwi Browser with dark reader extension. It works very very fast.
I would use firefox but firefox is kinda slow on my phone and I dislike slow.
I just use a dark reader extension on the browser.
I use windows because that's where I can play overwatch and fortnite. That's literally the only reason. And photoshop, but krita is almost just as good. If I didn't play games not available on Linux I'd probably use Ubuntu instead. Why? Easy to install, very customizable, better for programming, scriptable.
2, i hadn't even thought of the first one, funny thought, thanks
