For real, the last 2 times my mom called me was to tell me my dad had a heart attack and that my nephew died, so I 100% expect something like that if she calls me.
To be honest I don't use it nearly as much as I used Reddit. Haven't been on Reddit since the fuckening except for a couple of times, but my Lemmy usage is at maybe 10% pf what my Reddit usage was.
Im halfway through The color of magic by Terry Pratchett, I've read a few other discworld books but I thought it was time to start the first book an try to read them all in the "right" order.

A volcanic eruption just started near Keilir on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. This is the third eruption in the same number of years in that area. The last 2 eruptions were very mild and easily accessible for people to get a closer look and as of now it looks like this one will be too.

I'm really liking it. It's still missing a few of my old reddit communities but feels very much like reddit used to, it at least feels like I'm getting my fix. I'm using Connect to navigate Lemmy and it reminds me a little of my dear old Baconreader.
That is my stance as well
