Elon's Death Machine (aka Tesla) Mows Down Deer at Full Speed , Keeps Going on "Autopilot"
  • Honestly if the software is better than humans yeah. I'm also very much moving insurance costs to the software and having insurance based on those exact things.

If the software is safer then humans I don't care if it makes mistakes at a lower rate.

M4 Mac Mini Power Button Has New Bottom Location
  • You've certainly got to have an imagination. Thinking apple is designing a Mac mini for that niche use case and all 12 customers there.

There are few companies in the world who garnish this much attention on nitpicky and inconsequential nerd shit while completely ignoring them designing some absurdly efficient ARM processors on the planet and printing money.

  • This is peak nerd rage over something nobody is going to actually care about.

What are you tired of helping and educating people about because you know they'll just be ignorant anyway?
  • I didn't think folks actually care about ads as much as you think. This place is a bubble in that regard.

For me that America isn't a hellscape for most. Yes there is disparity and it's growing, we should correct that. But gen z is still buying homes (more than millennials), most people have decent albeit over priced health care, and live better than large portions of the world.

The most misogynistic ad in the history of politics.
  • I think the outrage over the word cunt is the most over dramatic Karen thing ever.

This election is a dumpster fire and Trump has dragged down everyone, but the outrage on this is a lol. Bill Burr said it best on this topic.

If reality worked the way hiring managers and job interviews thought it did companies would have to fire everyone when they purchased new software since no one would have any experience using it.
  • I think most of Lemmy are introverts. I think they are missing contextual clues in interviews and taking bullet points too literally.

I find job postings in tech to be fairly decent in many cases and I've never had issues as a hiring manager filing roles with competent talent 🤷‍♂️
