Restaurants fight back against the FTC crackdown on 'junk fees' as diners balk at new charges
  • The way I see it, if a restaurant can't provide a living wage and also provide reasonably priced food, then the restaurant is being run poorly and the money is not being managed properly.

  • I've never been to a restaurant with fees and if I ever found one, I wouldn't be going there. I rarely eat out anymore at all though. High prices for mediocre food and mediocre service keep me away.

You couldn't just, like, place the wheelchair at the sides??
  • The bench in the background isn't like that. You would think it they were trying to prevent someone from sleeping there, it would be that way too.

Sony Announces a New Spider-Man Villain Solo Movie Every Year Until Their Demands Are Met
  • It's fine to say you don't like a movie but to state a movie is bad when of broke box office records is ignorant. Obviously a lot of people thought it was good.

MW2 remastered multiplayer mod shut down by Activision day before launch
  • Sorry, when I say good games I mean games that I find to be good. There have been games that are popular that I have no interest in. I also find games to be too expensive.

  • I haven't bought a video game in years. It's just been garbage after garbage. The market is saturated with so much shit that I don't even care to play games anymore.

    Switched to GrapheneOS today
  • I've been running it a couple of months now. All my banking apps work but 1 and I use one of my other phones for that.

Custom ROMs have had just about enough of being Android's second-class citizens
  • I'm sure Google contactless payment works really well when the phone is dead. Or you drop your phone in a toilet or off a bridge. It's far easier to loose a phone than a card in a wallet in your pocket. If you lose your phone, you also lose access to all your money.

  • I currently have a ring doorbell that I pay a yearly fee for but I want to get away from Amazon and a subscription fee. I would prefer if it used the Wi-Fi and it was able to connect with my house doorbell. Edit: I'd also like to add that I would like it to have the ability to stream and record video.

Apps like Temu or TokTok. Or those cheap electronic devices where you have to download a questionable app and register an account. What exactly is being stolen and what is being done with it? Who is doing it? Why?

I just found out about it. Open Source messaging. It seems intriguing although I'm not sure I would have much to do with it. I honestly can't find too much information about it except for the website and a few YouTube videos. I was just curious if anyone has had experience with it.
