  • I remember when Amazon first started there were good deals on good quality items

I remember when the primary use of amazon was buying secondhand items. The deals on used discs for PS2 or gamecube were amazing. It was ebay without bidding.

  • elementary school teachers could be among the first 5% of people to adopt a new super-inclusive type of brand new lefty language

Elementary school teachers are also more likely to crack down on any sort of insulting language in general. I remember when I was a kid in the 4th grade, our teacher would punish us for asking, "So?" So was short for 'So what?' At the time it was (sometimes properly, give me a break, Mrs. H) a way to insultingly say that someone else's statement was meaningless.

It wasn't because it was ableist, or anything else you could point a finger to except insulting, and teachers head that sort of interaction off early.

  • I might have to pull out the disc and fire it up then.

I actually like how flippantly you say you never beat it because you didn’t really get into it.

I more meant that I didn't even try past the first area/level. I remember asking myself, "Is this a zelda game?" because it was just so different than the 3d versions I had played.

  • I don't have the original N64 golden cartridge anymore (there's a fun story, involving an insane fundamentalist christian mother), but did play both the 'Master' edition and the 'original' edition that they put together on a gamecube disc. I remember that the 'master' edition water temple was easier than the original, despite the point of 'master' being that everything was harder.

  • I think the part that threw me as a child was when the central tower area raised a platform when you raised the water level. The camera super focuses on the new hole, but I never saw it. Cue the endless frustration that I had to overcome by looking up a guide.

  • 2? You mean majora's mask?

Oh, you mean the very first games. I never got to play through those for real. My first was ocarina of time. I tried LoZ2 on the super disc that you got with wind waker on the gamecube, but I was still young enough (and spoiled from ocarina, majora's mask, and wind waker) that I didn't really get into it and beat it.

  • It's really obvious if I say it, and I don't want to connect her or myself to any online account.

Hmm, let me see if I can let you know (if you already know) that you know it. It was her nickname, then similar to a name of a casino.

  • I mean, it's not impossible. Isn't the record something like 13-15 inches? I watched this documentary about a guy with a tiny (not even micro, just 4") penis going around the world, and he talked with the dude who had the biggest. All I remember is him saying it was roughly as big as his forearm, and he would pass out when having sex with his wife.

  • It's amusing how things you never expect to be seen by others suddenly go intercontinental because your company likes them. I have a friend who retired from her corporate job about 15 years ago. She had an excel document (that I guess became some sort of super document, I dunno, I'm not into that sort of stuff), and it worked so well for her work that it became the company standard for a gigantic multinational corporation (they're one of the ones you always hear involved in US wars), and whatever she did couldn't be changed once she left.

That means she occasionally still gets contacted about her mildly suggestive name for the file. It references testicles and corporate greed in one go round.

  • Not just spooky, it can get downright freaky. I was out rowing in a foursome in the early morning, and we hear a ruckus. All four of us thought it was preschool age kids yelling and screaming during play... at first. It was incredibly foggy that morning, cold, and dark. When we realized what we were hearing, and how many it sounded like, break time on the shore was over.

  • I was hoping it would say someone finally told Trump, "Bitch, get back in your place because no one is putting up with your shit." Imagine my disappointment at the reasonable attempt to lower tensions and appease.

  • Vance. I think he and his puppet masters would love the excuse to join with putin's past allies. Russia gets the land, united states of stupid gets half the resources contracts to aid in building the 'infrastructure' and such to process the resources.

  • That's quite the modest proposal there. The real question, and this determines whether I think you are truly a good person, or the wretched scum who believe what I don't, is are you pre or a post-birther?

A little oxidation of the meat is what give the perfect texture to the meat, I think. Anyone who says otherwise is just saying they're refined, while drinking iced tea with their pinky finger extended.

  • It may be, but it can also come from having (for me) childhood experiences with parents who would absolutely lose their cool if appointments and other such scheduled activities were missed. I have this feeling and behavior pattern for things like work, hangouts with friends, and even casual events like a festival or faire, all in addition to the typical items like doctor's appointments.

  • I know I'm probably getting the political landscape of vermont and new hampshire mixed up, but isn't vermont pretty red? Similar to the way new york is pretty red once you get out of the big city? That's probably going to be a nightmare if anything happened.

  • Who are the assholes on the left? There is a little part of me that hopes they aren't a group in america, because in america they would have been shot, but after the events of the last few years days I've lost hope.

  • What else?

  • Aye, and that plays into the part I forgot to mention: the optics. Imagine a typical confrontation between two people, a various amount of other folks nearby. Maybe it's at a bar, maybe it's at a park, maybe it's in the street with large riots going on around you. Who do you view as the aggressor immediately, on the one hand, a fellow, hands balled, in a pugilistic stance or wildly swinging, or the other one who has his hands up in front of him, palms facing outwards? Little things like that matter if it ever goes to court, and are super important if the police show up initially.
