  • I'm expecting the race start to be equally dramatic. Although if there's fewer cars able to make their grid slots because of these quali crashes, we might get through the first lap without a red.

    Edit - Russel on the front row. Definitely going to be dramatic.

  • I'm wondering if we get some further starting grid complications with all these crashes so close to the race. There could be some tricky repairs and possibly either a quota penalty or just not enough time for the mechanics.

    Do you get the tinfoil hat out only when a decision doesn't appear to go your way, or is there always an FIA conspiracy?

  • Absolute carnage of a session. I was on edge seeing Norris at risk in Q1, then Q2 was looking ropey with the first red flag. What a turnaround. Going to be a spicy race now.

  • Was he unreliable as a person before? Was he combative with his previous employer and colleagues? Was he actually in prison all this time? What if this guy is a corporate spy?

    I'm not sure you will get that information by asking about a gap.

    I believe it would be more acceptable to ask questions more specific to your concerns. "Can you tell me why you left x position?" Even then, you are not going to get the information you are so suspicious about, you will get a bullshit interview answer.

  • I hate that this is an acceptable interview question.

    If it was any of your business I would have put that information in there. Or more diplomatic would be saying something like 'I was caring for my dying relative, I left that information out because I wanted to include only the most relevant skills for this position.'

  • No one has suggested carbon steel in this comment thread yet, but others have elsewhere - just wanted to say it's amazing. I use either stainless or carbon and have moved on entirely from cast iron apart from for casserole type food.

  • First I want to say hello, I have only 3 lovely chickens to start off with as I learn the ropes.

    Secondly, my neighbours son is absolutely obsessed with the chickens. It's really nice, but he is also feeding them huge amounts of wild bird seed and I'm a little worried. There are mounds of the stuff being poured over the fence!

    I have spoken to his parents nicely and asked them to stop him doing so, which they understand.

    In case this doesn't get resolved quickly, is there any danger that this can cause harm to my chickens?

    Any idea what this is? Many leaves are dying on the plant, wondering if there is a way to save it. I have forgotten the name of the plant, but will update when I find it.

    I have a dreamcatcher which I thought had a dying leaf or something, but it looks like this could be something like seeds!? There is a second pod which isn't open to the left in the picture.

    I don't really know what it is but I'm excited about it. My other aglaonema hasn't grown at all in 2 years!

    I bought a set of three carbon steel pans, and they are amazing. Is this allowed here? They are 99% iron I think.

    They are lighter than a full iron pan but you still season them in the same way.

    I have had an iron pan dedicated to meat cooking for a few years now, but I'm not sure it will get much use now.

    These are new pans, so I'll have to see how they last, but I'm very optimistic.

    I get that until recently it was considered normal and relatively cheap, but you are literally paying someone else to make food for you.

    It can't be sustainable without exploitation of workers and/or animal welfare to have that available to the majority of people on a regular basis.

    If you can only afford fast food as a luxury, to me that seems like a good thing.

    I was given a Montsera(?) cutting and I don't really know if this leaf is too wrinkled? It's a minefield trying to read about and understand if I have over or under watered. I just don't know what this plant actually wants.

    My usual approach is to assume I have over watered if a plant looks unhappy, but I don't know if these bounce back after a period of under watering, if I hold back on watering more now.
